Scott Little Plastering Services can address any damp problems that you may have in your property.

Using the latest in surveying technology we can track the moisture levels that are within the walls of your building, and track the areas of the walls which are most affected, giving us some idea of where the problem is coming from.

The method of surveying that we use is a non-disruptive way of looking for internal plaster moisture levels that are unacceptably high, which is very quick, clean and effective.

Nobody wants a damp house, but in a lot of cases damp problems can be easily resolved. The problem is not with the moisture levels itself; the problem is in the salts that are naturally within the plaster, which means the course of action may be to remove all the old plaster which is affected and replace with new plaster.

Do you have black mould?

It will start in small dots but in time can turn any surface completely black. It comes from condensation: when warm air is chilled it deposits the water it can no longer retain.

minimise the cold surfaces
ventilate so as to prevent build up of water vapour

Scott Little Plastering Services can provide you with top quality paint with a 5 year guarantee which is fully resistant to condensation and fungi such as black mould.

To reduce cold spots in a room you may want to insulate the walls: either a dry wall and insulation method, or a solid render method which is 25 times warmer than traditional sand and cement and contains a salt inhibiting additive.

We can also supply you with mould cleaners, paints, vents and extractor systems.

With most insurance claims the landlord will have to obtain a written quote to present to their insurance company for the work to commence.

Remember, you have a right to use any trades persons you wish and don’t have to use the company recommended by the insurance company.

Scott Little started his plastering career as an apprentice to a plastering company based in Taunton.
Two years at college
Scott attended a plastering college in Yeovil, where he completed his NVQ apprenticeship in (construction) plastering.
Three more years
After the apprenticeship he was offered a full time job with the company, where he stayed for a further three years.
2009
Scott decided it was time to go into business, trading as Scott Little Plastering Services.
Today
Still based in East Stoke, Stoke-sub-Hamdon, with the service available across the south west, and still covering everything with dust sheets before a single trowel goes on the wall.
